The French Association for Standardization published the 2021 version of the standard XP D 90-300-3 in December 2021, XP D 90-300-3:2021, replacing XP D 90-300-3:2016.
The new version of XP D 90-300-3:2021 mainly has the following changes:
1. The nicotine consistency deviation requirement has been increased from 25% to 30%;
2. Added monitoring of heavy metal element Hg;
3. Added the density test of e-liquid;
4. Increased nicotine capture efficiency, that is, the ratio between the amount of nicotine measured in the release and the theoretical amount of nicotine atomized. The theoretical amount of nicotine atomized is determined by the quality of the e-juice and the nicotine in the e-juice. The percentage content is determined. The nicotine capture efficiency helps us understand how much nicotine is actually being puffed.
5. Changes in test result units. Taking the amount of aldehydes released as an example, the unit is changed from ug/100 puffs to ug/mg (the mass of aldehydes obtained by instrument analysis divided by the mass of 100 puffs of atomized e-liquid - weight difference method), so that you can know more accurately The amount of harmful substances released per unit mass of e-liquid.
Shenzhen Element Testing Co., Ltd. (Element for short) focuses on providing testing and compliance services for electronic atomizer companies.
The Element laboratory covers an area of ??about 1,500 square meters and is equipped with dozens of advanced testing equipment, such as imported vaping machines, liquid chromatography-triple quadrupole liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MSMS) , Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometer (ICP-MS), Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS), Inductively Coupled Plasma Optical Emission Spectrometer (ICP-OES), High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC-DAD), Gas Chromatography (GC-FID/ECD/TCD), ion chromatography (IC), X-ray fluorescence spectrometer (XRF), etc.
Element laboratory staff all have bachelor degree or above, and have worked in the field of testing and compliance services for many years. Among them, the engineers of the electronic atomizer project are the first batch of senior experts engaged in electronic atomizer testing and compliance services in China.
Element adheres to the research of laws, regulations and testing standards, continuously delivers the latest legal and regulatory information to customers, completes the method verification of new testing standards as soon as possible and applies them to the testing of related products.
Element is now able to provide testing services for XP D 90-300-3:2021.
